We'll measure the cuts. Sometimes you may find a great carpet at a great price and you want to order it from someone else - but you're not confident enough to measure the rooms or stairs to ensure you have enough carpet. That's OK - we have a service for that!
Measuring your own carpet - not for the faint hearted!
With the myriad of internet only retailers it's not always possible to offer every carpet and we understand that. But measuring your own carpet and then ordering from the internet is not for the faint hearted! Getting it wrong could be expensive.
So don't take any chances. Get a professional measurement from a professional. We'll visit your home, take the measurements, provide advice and then email you a pdf containing the exact cuts required and the sizes of the carpet or vinyl you require and how much it will cost to fit. And all within 48 hours from the visit. And the cost is just £120. Can you afford to take the chance?
Get your money back
If you decide to go ahead with our quote then we will refund your original £120. So, effectively you've had the measurement for free.
Saturday measurements
We offer a free quotation service between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. We aim to get the quote out to you withing 48 hours of the visit. If you would like a Saturday appointment then we can offer you one under the same terms as the carpet measurement service for ?£150and you get the measurements of your floor, refundable if you go ahead with the quote.
Please note: we only fit carpets that we supply. In exceptional cases, for example where you are looking for an exotic carpet that we cannot supply, a hand-made import or something bespoke then we will consider a fit only service. A fitting surcharge will apply however.
Do you offer carpet measurements on Saturdays?
Yes — Saturday visits are available for an additional fee (£150) under the same refundable-if-you-book terms.
Can I use this service if I’ve already bought carpet from another company?
Absolutely. Many clients use us for accurate, independent measuring when buying carpet online or from another supplier.
Can I use your measurement for insurance quotes or claims?
Yes — our professional measurements are precise enough to support insurance assessments and claims documentation.
Can landlords, builders or interior designers use this service?
Definitely. We regularly measure for landlords, letting agents, designers, and contractors who require accurate cutting and fitting plans.
How long does it take to receive my measurement report?
You’ll receive your PDF report with exact cuts and fitting estimates within 48 hours of our visit.
Is the £120 fee refundable if I proceed with Cavendish de Vere?
Yes — if you go ahead with our quote, we refund the measurement cost in full.
Do you measure for vinyl, LVT, and other flooring types too?
Yes, we can measure for carpet, vinyl, LVT, linoleum, cork and other floor coverings.
Can you measure large commercial spaces or offices?
Yes — we carry out measurements for homes, offices, and commercial spaces throughout London.
What happens if I measure myself and get it wrong?
Ordering too little or too much flooring can be costly — our professional service ensures accuracy and prevents waste.
