How we do it

After the quote - what happens?

Once you've accepted the quote and depending on the complexity of the design and staircase (if it has stripes or winding stairs for example), we'll return to the property to create a template. The carpet is then ordered, delivered to site, cut to size, taken away to be whipped and bound to seal the edges or a bordered tape is stitched on. The runner is then carefully checked for defects and delivered to site for fitting.

The installation process

Whipping is an edge treatment applied to stair runners to seal and protect the edges. It creates a clean, professional finish.

A bordered runner has decorative tape or fabric sewn along the edges, creating a contrasting or complementary design element.
