Polyflor Camaro (Nut Tree 2202) LVT floor installation in London
Installing a luxury vinyl tile (LVT) floor can completely transform a space, and our recent project in London was a perfect example. The customer had chosen Polyflor Camaro Nut Tree 2202, a stunning, natural-looking wood-effect LVT, to bring warmth and sophistication to their home. With a durable and realistic woodgrain finish, this floor was an ideal choice for a high-traffic area.
Preparing the Concrete Subfloor
As with any LVT installation, preparation is key. The subfloor was concrete, which meant we had to ensure it was perfectly smooth, level, and free of any moisture issues. After a thorough assessment, we ground down any high spots and filled minor imperfections with a self-levelling compound. A moisture test confirmed the concrete was dry enough for the installation, ensuring no risk of future lifting or warping.
Adhesive and LVT Installation
Once the subfloor was ready, we applied a high-quality pressure-sensitive adhesive to create a strong yet flexible bond. This step is crucial, as it allows the LVT planks to settle naturally while preventing movement over time.
We carefully laid the Polyflor Camaro Nut Tree 2202 planks in a staggered formation, mimicking the look of real wood flooring. The subtle grain and warm tones of the Nut Tree design instantly elevated the space, adding a rich, elegant feel. As we worked, we paid close attention to the alignment, ensuring the planks flowed seamlessly from one to the next. Description of works
2 bedroom flat. 3 rooms in total. Lounge kitchen 2 bedrooms, 1 x hallway
Move furniture from one room to another (as discussed this will extend the time needed for this project)
Remove existing flooring, take away and dispose
Cut out floor boards where necessary fix new batons to stop squeaking
Cut and fit plyboard to subfloor
Apply latex floor screed and sand to create smooth, flat surface
Fit new soundsense soundproof underlay
Cut and fit vinyl flooring to subfloor adhere with adhesive
Replace furniture
Clean and clear site upon completion
