A Distinctive Touch: Fitting the Ventura Opal Sensation Carpet

On one of those classic rainy London days, we found ourselves carrying rolls of the Cormar Ventura Opal Sensation Carpet runner through sheets of pouring rain. Thankfully, the carpet was securely wrapped in protective plastic, sparing it from the elements, though we didn’t fare quite as well!

This project was a full-scale transformation of the upper floors of a beautiful home, where the Ventura Opal carpet was chosen to elevate every space. Its soft yet durable texture and muted opal tones created a serene and cohesive feel throughout. The highlight of the job, however, was the distinctive stair runner we crafted to complement the top floors.

The customer’s vision for their staircase was clear: a statement piece that would seamlessly blend practicality with elegance. Using the Ventura Opal carpet, we tailored a bespoke runner, finished with a hemp cotton border for a refined, sophisticated edge. The combination of the delicate carpet tones and the natural border created a striking visual contrast that was modern yet timeless.

Despite the rain-soaked delivery, the installation went smoothly, and the results spoke for themselves. The runner not only added character to the staircase but also provided a soft, comfortable surface for daily use. The upper floors, now fully carpeted, felt warmer and more inviting, while the staircase became a true centerpiece of the home.

Looking back on this rainy day project, it was all worth it to see the transformation unfold.
