A tricky floor fitted with Forbo Marmoleum Cocoa 3592 salted caramel

Forbo Marmoleum Cocoa 3592 salted caramel. Tricky project with this floor and the Mappi renovations Screed that failed in one room. Mixed just as all the others but a bad bag set us back and the floor had to be pulled up, sanded back down , re-primed and re-screeded – this time with Level IT screed instead. Not ideal as the builders were still onsite, which is always a no-no in flooring as the dust settles on the glue and stops it from adhering correctly. But they won’t be told!

Here’s what we did. Cut and fit plyboard to subfloor Apply primer to subfloor areas Lounge/kitchen/dining area Apply screed to lounge/kitchen/dining area and allow to dry Apply feather finish and sand to create smooth, flat surface Template where required, cut and fit Marmoleum flooring to subfloor adhere with adhesive Clean and clear site upon completion It does look rather good now and it may indeed have the wow factor once it’s all finished.
