In the heart of Wimbledon SW19, London, we were entrusted with a project that required precision, patience, and a keen eye for detail. The task was clear: fit a beautiful faux sisal carpet onto multiple flights of stairs and landings, transforming the home’s aesthetic while meeting the exacting standards of our client, Peter.<\/p>\n

The Vision<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From the outset, it was evident that this wasn\u2019t just another carpet fitting job. Peter, the homeowner, had a clear vision and an unwavering commitment to perfection. Every decision\u2014every detail\u2014needed to meet his standards. Communication was key. Our fitters were instructed to consult with Peter at every stage, ensuring he was fully involved and satisfied with every choice before proceeding.<\/p>\n

The Details Matter<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The project began with careful preparation. While there was no existing flooring to remove, the landings required an additional layer of hardboard, tacked securely in place, to create the perfect base. Underlay was then carefully cut, adhered, and fixed with precision grippers to ensure durability and comfort underfoot.<\/p>\n

The selected carpet, Anywhere Ca-rPET Boucle Realign<\/em>, was both stylish and sustainable – in fact it amke. Its textured finish promised durability while maintaining an elegant look that perfectly complemented the home\u2019s interior.<\/p>\n

A Challenging Flight<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The second flight of stairs posed a unique challenge. Open stringers along the side meant that the raw carpet edge needed to be meticulously tucked under, creating a seamless finish. This was no ordinary task\u2014it required both skill and close collaboration with Peter to ensure every edge, every fold, and every finish was executed flawlessly.<\/p>\n

The team spent time discussing options with Peter, ensuring he was confident in every decision before proceeding. The result? A perfectly tucked edge that elevated the overall appearance of the staircase.<\/p>\n

    Each measurement was meticulously checked, double-checked, and marked before cutting the carpet to size. The landings\u2014spanning four unique areas\u2014each required precision to ensure seamless transitions and uniformity.<\/p>\n
