New bedroom carpets fitted in Battersea SW11, London

A less common project today where we didn’t supply the carpet but fitted it. Although the client did make use of our carpet measurement service to ensure that he ordered the right amount of carpet. A nice 2 bedroom Victorian flat in Battersea SW11 ‘Between the Commons’ and on the Northcote Road (Some people still call this Clapham becasue of Clapham Junction station nearby, this is technically incorrect!).

A large roll of carpet arrived approx 46m2 (no cuts!) which we cut into the relevant sizes for the rooms. We were ready to fit the carpet on the stairs, bedrooms and basement but the stairs and basement still need painting. No problem as we are just going to return when the time is right.

Anyway, the flooring was laid and the client is very happy.  Here is how it went.

Bedroom 1 

Apply gripper rods to subfloor area

Apply underlay to subfloor area

Apply new carpet to subfloor area to clients specification

Cut required 5.90m x4m

Bedroom 2

Apply gripper rods to subfloor area

Apply underlay to subfloor area

Apply new carpet to subfloor area to clients specification

Cut required 3.80m x 4m

Stairs

Apply gripper rods to subfloor area

Apply underlay to subfloor area

Apply new carpet to Stairs area to clients specification

Cut required 1.50m x 4m

1 x 8ft z edge bar threshold

1 x double 1 metre door threshold

Basement

14m2 of flooring to be prepped with Micro 500 finish to make it smooth for vinyl

Adhere vinyl to floor

Warranties

Installation Warranty: 1 mth
