Bespoke hand-stitched hallway runner in Belgravia

We love working in Belgravia and we love working on hand made, bespoke flooring. In this case a beautiful Westex Velvet carpet 80% wool and 20% nylon blend that we templated and made into a fantastic runner. Look superb and the client her team were delighted.

What a great project to work on.

Basement landing area 

Remove existing carpet runner and dispose

Template new Westex carpet and cut to shape

Whip and bind all edges of carpet to create runner / large mat

Return carpet to site and fit using Foxi rug securing underlay

Clean and clear site upon completion of works

Why you should have a hallway runner

Technically this runner was a large mat in basement but nevertheless every hallway with a hard floor should have runner because for they transform an entrance hall into something stunning and it keeps scratches and marks off floorboards, ceramic tiles, LVTS, wood and laminate flooring.

Obviously this was bespoke carpet made fro a very discerning client! But you can buy straight runners relatively cheaply and as long as you secure them to the floor properly with an anti-slip rug underlay you can’t go wrong.
